Attention Scouts! Boys and Girls, Campers and Hunters, Boaters and those who know one or many. The Ultrafire is a perfect light for these people of action, this small but very mighty light will be a great gift for the outdoor enthusiast, the indestructible housing, the glow in the dark lens ring, the multiple mode options and touch pad switch make this an ideal flashlight for this intended usage.

However I would not recommend this light for Law enforcement nor for a home defense light for some of the same reasons above, too many functions that complicate things in a stressful time. To get from one end of the mode list to the other you must activate each mode thus making it a liability not an asset.

This light is very attractive and distinctive and sure to be an eye catcher to own. The minimum run time on high is a long 31/2 hours, longer than any other light even near it in its class and a greatly appreciated feature in the middle of the woods on that cold deer hunting trip, or late fall camp out, or even when you are out on a boat trying to get attention when that pesky boat battery has failed and left you drifting.

I have thought long and hard on this light and at first I was disappointed but then I looked a little deeper into other ways to use this light and was pleased with what I found.

I give this light 4 out of five bright bulb rating.
